Daughters of Saint Katherine is the official women’s ministry of the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of Los Angeles. Rooted in the example of Saint Katherine of Alexandria—known for her wisdom, courage, and devotion—this ministry exists to equip women of all ages to grow in faith, serve with purpose, and reflect the light of Christ in every season of life.

DOSK serves women and girls of all stages of life—teens, young adults, mothers, grandmothers, professionals, consecrated women living in the world, and spiritual seekers. Whether you’re just beginning your walk with Christ or have been on the journey for decades, there is a place for you here.

While DOSK is rooted in the Coptic Orthodox Church, many of our events, resources, and studies are open to all Christian women who desire to grow deeper in their relationship with God. We seek to walk in unity, truth, and love—offering spiritual formation that is biblically rich and theologically grounded.

We offer Christ-centered opportunities for women to grow in every season of life through Bible studies, retreats, teen mentorship, leadership development, outreach, and published resources from Abiding Light Press.

Whether you're navigating motherhood, leadership, loss, or purposeful waiting, you'll find space for healing, learning, and fellowship. Our specialized groups—ranging from spiritual parenting to creative discipleship and Titus 2 mentoring—provide safe, sacred spaces where women are seen, supported, and spiritually nourished, meeting them with grace in every chapter of their journey.

Abiding Light Press is the official publishing arm of DOSK and the women’s ministry of the Diocese. Its purpose is to also serve the broader Christian community of believers with biblically faithful, beautifully written resources such as Bible studies, devotionals, prayer guides, and more. While it supports DOSK initiatives, it also creates materials for women outside the Orthodox Church—discipling hearts across denominational lines.

There is no cost to be part of the ministry. Some events or resources may have a suggested donation to cover materials or venue expenses, or registration fees for a retreat, but we never want cost to be a barrier. Scholarships or sponsorships are available when needed, please reach out to inquire.

Daughters of Saint Katherine is led by Kathy Abraham under the spiritual blessing and oversight of His Eminence Metropolitan Serapion. Kathy serves alongside a growing team of faithful women dedicated to raising up spiritually rooted, biblically equipped leaders for the next generation.
